'The' NHS is actually 22,000 organisations
On the 12th of February Charlotte Trueman published an interview with Chris Parsons of NHS Digital in the respected journal ComputerWorld in which he revealed that 'the' NHS in reality consists of 22,000 (yes, twenty two thousand) distinct organisations.

If blog followers find this previously unreported fact hard to believe they can find the interview "Big NHS email migration also delivers access to latest digital tools" here.
Surely it would make public discussion of UK health services far more accurate, useful and less ideological if references to the non-existent organisation 'the' NHS ceased and references to NHS component organisations identified which of the 22,000 was being referred to?
