We have a concern that current coding training environments such as bootcamps and computer science courses tend to be too geeky and nerdy. Therefore we are creating a modest set of resources that put technology, and programming in particular, into a historical and cultural context that goes beyond such a potentially limiting view.
We are including in our publications store a few works written by independent authors or by our own consultants. In both cases they will be based on their real life work experiences in the world of commercial IT. Which is of course the practical non-academic world that awaits the majority of trainees and students.
We are also gathering together (or 'curating' in current parlance) a collection of useful links and documents that reference the development of current commercial technology during the years of the still brief digital age.
