AI and Quantum Computing?

AI and quantum computing both frequently feature in the technical news nowadays as hot technologies but in the case of true AI, which is to say a system that can not only engage in high speed pattern matching but can really think, quantum computing offers no advantages except for increased speed.

If true artificial intelligence is ever to be achieved it will require something new and that something new just might be neuromorphic computing.
